Mission San Antionio de Pala

Asistencia of Mission San Luis Rey founded June 13th, 1816, and the only mission still serving a mission tribe. Padre Antonio Peyri was the founding father of the mission. Peyri is said to have climbed the bell tower himself and plant the small cactus that sits adjacent to the cross.
